Spring is fast approaching and for us Floridians, it feels like we're in the full swing of the breezy season. So I'm fully embracing Spring and the fun colors that come with it.

Spring Welcomes Nude [Lips]

I don't know what it is but I have been embracing nude lip colors lately. And with Spring coming in, I think I chose the right time to go "streaking". These nude lipsticks and lip pencils were picked up from Walmart and the beauty supply store.

Kinky Straight Lace Wig

Young women wearing wigs was introduce to me when I was living in Ga. Before I thought that it was only for older women and women who had alopecia or some sort of ailment that caused hair loss. But after watching youtube videos and seeing that not all wigs are created equal (they don't all have to look "wiggy") I ventured out and got me some wigs. I started off with synthetic because they cost less and I wanted to test the waters. Three years later I have purchased my first full lace wig unit and am in love! After doing some research and watching many videos, I invested in a kinky straight full lace unit from Lacewigtrend. Silky straight and even yaki has lost its appeal to me which is why I went searching for the kinky straight texture. The unit retails for $198 with a $25 shipping charge. Discounts can be applied if one has promo codes. The company was very responsive and answered questions I had in a timely manner. Smoking Up the Red Carpet

I have been watching the Red Carpets this year as if my career depended on it. I found them to be very interesting as of late. This may be because I went back into makeup full force, nonetheless, the women walking the Red Carpet have offered me quite a lot of inspiration. I entered the L'Oreal Destination Beauty Contest with this look.

To achieve this look I used Sleek Makeup palette Me, Myself, & Eye color Blue Monday and Sugarpill's Junebug, as well as the BH Cosmetics 88 Standard Matte palette.

Reluctant Valentine

I'm not a fan or really celebrate Valentine's Day (even though the hubby is) but I did a look last week and after looking at the photos and seeing the videos popping up on Youtube, it appears to be a Valentine look.

Think Pink

Although I love the holiday season, the fluctuating weather here in Florida dampened my spirits a bit since I got sick and remained that way for TWO weeks! But I am feeling A LOT better and was able to pull off a makeup tutorial. I love watching Fashion Police and the last two episode Kelly Osbourne was wearing a beautiful matte pink lip. I just had to recreate it for myself. Putting the wonderful NYX brand to good use, I did a simple eye look [using BH Cosmetics 88 Warm Palette] and let the drama speak from the lips. To maximize wear and color payoff I applied Too Faced Lip Insurance (which is a lip primer) and then lined my lips with NYX lipliner pencil in "Bloom" (a lovely, vibrant pink shade). I filled in my lips with NYX Matte Lipstick in "Merlot" which is a bit brighter than "Bloom." The look could end there but I topped it off with a dark pink gloss by L'Oreal HIP [Tainted].

Update and things

I should really keep up with this blog a lot more than I do. Procrastination is an illness I am fighting... So anyway, Christmas is almost here and quite frankly this time of year is my favorite. Even with a tight budget or strapped for cash I still love the end of year holidays. It's simply "the most wonderful time of the year!" In celebration of this time I've done two makeup looks and one more crazy drastic one on the way.

For this look I used "Ruby Slippers" from Heavenly Naturals. I have been itching to use this products for years and have finally done so! Tutorial below.
